Please note the remnants of a magenta polish around the nails of my right hand. This happens when a 2nd grader has never painted nails before but really wants to paint Miss Anne's. I had a blobby mess in the middle of the nail and no polish on the sides! I think I had 5 different girls help me out before I finally had to say I couldn't handle any more sparkle. :-)
As much of a headache as I got from the fumes, as much time as it will take to remove the layers (upon layers) of polish from my hands, and as much as I really don't like my fingernails painted, my day was completely made when all the girls said, "This is the Best Day Ever!!"
I think it's safe to say I love my job.
Yay! I'm so glad you love your job! And, just for the record, I don't paint my fingernails, either. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic, Anne! Way to be a loving role model. On a side, I think you really should have kept your nails like that for a few days. It would have been a quality conversation starter.
ReplyDeleteAngela: Thanks! My job has been such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteNathan: Who said anything about when I took the polish off? It definitely is still sparkling. (But mostly because I can't seem to find my remover... :-)
